Chad and Julie Roethler are proud to bring WOW Windowboxes® to Greater Des Moines. After 25 years in IT leadership with a major publishing company, Chad brings a deep background in executive leadership, product development, and process engineering to running a reliable, well-organized service business. His career has been built on solving complex problems, improving systems, and leading teams through change, skills that translate directly into delivering the kind of consistent, dependable service Des Moines homeowners and businesses expect.
Julie has spent more than 17 years as a successful Des Moines realtor, known for her eye for detail, strong client relationships, and the ability to keep even the most complicated projects moving smoothly. She serves on the board of the Des Moines Area Association of REALTORS® and the City of Urbandale Planning and Zoning Board, and her experience working with homeowners every day gives the Roethlers a unique understanding of what families value in their homes and outdoor spaces.
Now empty nesters, Chad and Julie are proud parents of two adult children: Hannah, who lives in Omaha with her husband Joe, and Nolan, who is building his career in New York City. With their kids launched, they’re pouring their energy into building something lasting here at home: a business rooted in craftsmanship, relationships, and doing good work for people who care about their community.
For Chad, WOW is more than starting a business. It’s about helping people feel proud of their homes and businesses while bringing the kind of pride of place that makes Des Moines neighborhoods feel welcoming. After years behind a desk, the chance to work outside, create something beautiful, and see the impact right there in front of him is what makes this work meaningful. His favorite flower?
